You may have heard of the "Sexual Addiction Screening Test (SAST)". It's a well-known tool around the world, created by Dr. Patrick J. Carnes, a top expert on sex addiction. It helps individuals understand their behaviors around sex.
Now, the test you're about to take is not the SAST. It's inspired by it, using the same kind of idea, but it's a bit different. This test uses 43 easy "YES" or "NO" questions, which you can answer in just about 7 to 9 minutes.
Entirely unassociated with the original creators, this test serves educational and entertainment purposes. There's no cost to take this test.
Questions 33 and 38 are control questions that help us see if your answers are honest.
Your answers are 100% private. They're used only to offer you suggestions on how to get help and make things better if needed.
Diagnosing yourself or anyone else based on this sex addiction/sexuality test, is not allowed.

The SAST is a globally recognized questionnaire developed to assist individuals in understanding if they might be dealing with sexual addiction.
It was crafted by Dr. Patrick J. Carnes and consists of 45 YES or NO questions, designed to help individuals self-assess their behaviors and identify potential sexual dependence.
Its efficacy and reliability have made it a popular tool in scientific research and therapeutic settings globally.
This test is inspired by the original SAST but has a few differences. It includes 43 questions, with only 41 being scored. Questions 33 and 38 serve as control questions to ensure the validity of responses.
They are not included in the final score. For scoring, a YES answer is counted as 1 point, and a NO is 0 points. The final score is the sum of all points from the 41 scored questions.
The test employs a scoring system where each YES answer equals 1 point. The maximum score possible is 41. The total score aids in determining if an individual may be grappling with sex addiction.
A score of 7-8 or more suggests a potential issue with sex addiction.
If your score raises concerns, it's recommended to consult a psychotherapist. They can assist you in understanding your behaviors and guide you on how to address potential issues.
A skilled psychotherapist provides a safe and confidential environment for you to plan and overcome any addiction challenges.
Yes, help is available. The results of this test can offer useful insights and serve as a starting point for professional help.
If you suspect you may be dealing with sex addiction, reaching out to a psychotherapist is a positive step forward on your path to recovery.
Yes, you can take the test multiple times. If your behaviors or feelings around sex change, it might be useful to retake the test and track your progress.
