This test is a modified and customized version of the widely recognized Childhood Autism Spectrum Test, also known as the CAST.

The original version of this test was meticulously developed by experts at the prestigious University of Cambridge. It has been used worldwide to help identify potential autism spectrum characteristics in children aged between 4 and 11 years. Please note, while this version has been modified to broaden its applicability, it is not suitable for assessing adults.

This test is to be completed by parents, carers, teachers or educators. It is scored on a scale from 0 to 35, with higher scores indicating a higher likelihood of autism.

Entirely unassociated with the original creators of the CAST test, this test serves educational and entertainment purposes only. Check out our disclaimers for more details.

The test is usually used in conjunction with other assessments such as observation, developmental assessments and interviews with teachers, parents or carers.

It is important to note again that this test is not a diagnostic tool and that a correct diagnosis can only be made by a qualified professional such as a developmental paediatrician, child psychiatrist or clinical psychologist after a comprehensive assessment.
